Hi all and welcome to 2012.
BIG year of testing ahead for me, how about you? Need a hand with any of it (wink, wink). ;)
Seriously though, do you have any predictions on what the industry will bring this year? I’ve just been reading about Google’s biggest ever cloud services deal with a Spanish bank. This is definitely along the lines of my thinking for 2012. Cloud will continue to forge ahead… Even in simpler forms such as online tools. I’ve recently started using some of these tools for mind mapping, process diagramming, and even an online Gantt Chart. Very handy, very easy, and in the simplest of forms they are generally free.
I’m sure we’ll hear much more on ET (Exploratory Testing), which I’m definitely keen on and excited about. The Let’s Talk conference looks a winner. The first ever context-driven testing conference for Europe.
We can’t look past the death of the STANZ conference and the birth of the Fusion conference. This will also be a treat for all those who attend.
Oh, oh… I can’t forget some great happenings for this blog. We’ll be looking at a ‘fast five’ post series. A series of interviews with some of the industry standouts where we ask five questions on given topics. If you’re keen on particular topics, leave them in the comments section below and we’ll see what we can do.
Happy testing and happy 2012!
